That penchant for going against the grain is what led to his winning the 2018 launch edition of Amazon Prime Video’s original show ‘The Remix’ – a competition between music producers - that is broadcast in over 200 countries. He also brings his signature style to a monthly mixtape on BBC Asian Network, as part of Bobby Friction's popular show. Su Real’s contemporary revitalization of the East-West fusion formula has also garnered international attention as his track Bajre De Soundboy was licensed for the EA FIFA '18 trailer, where it hit over 7 million views across platforms.

In this new era of viral trends and overnight sensations, Su Real has evolved into a known constant in India’s musical underground. Returning home to Delhi from 10 years as PR Specialist in New York and Montreal to a growing local scene in 2008, he dove right in - programming the events and cultural activities at the legendary T.L.R., the first venue that lit up Hauz Khas Village with non-commercial music and alternative arts. He first gained notoriety as a DJ in 2010 with his Disco 31 nights at T.L.R. There, he developed his sound & crowd until in 2013, Rolling Stone India declared “Su Real is the legendary secret ingredient to some of Delhi’s recent favourite underground sets/parties/combinations thereof.”

Taking his trademark style across the country, Su Real shared the stage with a veritable who’s who of dance music today: Major Lazer, Skrillex, Diplo, Jason Derulo, Yellow Claw, NGHTMRE, JSTJR, Pretty Lights, Hudson Mohawke, MC Zulu, Alo Wala, among several others. Nucleya, the reigning king of Indian EDM has long been a benefactor, offering him key support slots on his tours & album launches. Su Real has also performed at major music festivals including Sunburn, Vh1 Supersonic, NH7 Weekender, Timeout72, MTV Bloc Party, India Bike Week and more.

In 2016, Su Real released his most meticulously crafted output to date –Twerkistan. The full-length album boasts 16 explosive dance tracks fusing the latest nano-genres of Western dance music with Eastern motifs and melodies accompanied by lyrics in English and Hindi. It received immediate critical praise from a wide range of media outlets: DNA, Indian Express, First Post, Elle India, GQ India, The Bangin’ Beats, Festival Sherpa, Wild City, Gizmodo, Maed In India (SAAVN), & so on. To date, he has released 10 music videos heavily supported by and aired on VH1 India.

Su Real has strived to create a movement out of the growing ranks of Desi Bass producers in India and abroad. He regularly contributes content to RedBull.com showcasing and documenting new music and emerging artists from the desi diaspora. Su Real’s inclusive approach to music ensures his status as a champion of the underground who can also whip a main-stage crowd into absolute panty-dropping hysteria.
